This is an ilustration i did for my girlfriend.

She said she wanted the clown diddl and at the time i ddin't even knew what was she talking about. When i saw the lot's-of-models-all-over-the-palce-highly-furred-anisotropic-dressed-multi-materialed mouse i thought "Jesus..."

So i've been working on it for about 4 weeks including research and modeling. To render the mouse was a painstakingly process because it has around 1,5 million hairs( including the hat nose and hair hairs) and i couldn't not even render just the fur of the mouse itself, with the clothes and the materials, without runing out of ram!... (i only have 1gb) I tried diferent aproaches and render passes but nothing worked has i wanted to...so to solve this i had to make a matrix and render the entire image in 48 diferent little pieces and composit it in photoshop... quite painfull and pacience test process belive me...

In overall iwas pleased with the final result the materials ad hair look. hope you like it too.

Modeled, textured, lighted, and rendered in Softimage XSI 5.. Post work done in Photoshop.

Tell me what you think about it, c&c are obviously most welcome.
