The Yellow One

There were some porblems how the light setup was distorted and made the image look weird with the post production in photoshop. I managed and as so I posted it again this time making my efforts on the textures and models make the worth of it.

This is a coffee shop named "The Grandsons" but I call it "The yellow one",where I usually take all the coffees of the day during work. As it as been a friendly source of energy and coffee breaks I decided to make a work of it. It came out quite good and i'm happy with the final result. Some textures are photograph based along with fractals but mainly they are just fractals and someones like the walls are matte painted in photoshop.
Some final detais were then added in post-production in photoshop.

Let me know what you think of it.

I have posted this image about a year ago but it had a lot of mistakes, someones clearly visible to me now others pointed by people here. Now i had a little spared time and as so i decided to improve it based mainly on the critics made by you when i started the thread here one year ago. Hope you enjoy it i'm quite happier with it now. Never the less thanks for your precious comments helped a lot to improve it and once again, comments and critics are most welcome, again...

Clown Diddl

This is an ilustration i did for my girlfriend.

She said she wanted the clown diddl and at the time i ddin't even knew what was she talking about. When i saw the lot's-of-models-all-over-the-palce-highly-furred-anisotropic-dressed-multi-materialed mouse i thought "Jesus..."

So i've been working on it for about 4 weeks including research and modeling. To render the mouse was a painstakingly process because it has around 1,5 million hairs( including the hat nose and hair hairs) and i couldn't not even render just the fur of the mouse itself, with the clothes and the materials, without runing out of ram!... (i only have 1gb) I tried diferent aproaches and render passes but nothing worked has i wanted to...so to solve this i had to make a matrix and render the entire image in 48 diferent little pieces and composit it in photoshop... quite painfull and pacience test process belive me...

In overall iwas pleased with the final result the materials ad hair look. hope you like it too.

Modeled, textured, lighted, and rendered in Softimage XSI 5.. Post work done in Photoshop.

Tell me what you think about it, c&c are obviously most welcome.

Dendrobates Pumilio

Dendrobates pumilio, it's the scientific name for a kind of frog that lives in tropical forests, they're very very poisonous and really small too (about 2,5 cm). I've drawn one for a project on a drwaing school, so i decided to make one with Lightwave. I've used lightwave to model and render and different methods for the textures, wight maps for the colors, uv's for the dark spots and some procedurals too. Some post work was done with Photoshop. Hope you enjoy it.

Pitts

This is an illustration i've made for a friend of mine that is finishing the comercial airpilot course. He was quite specific about what he wanted in the frame starting from the model of the plane (pitts), the formation that the 4 planes should have, to the type of sky, angle of camera and day time. For the sky i've matte painted it based on a photograph using Photoshop. The lighting, modeling, and rendering was all done in Softimage XSI. The textures wer're done in Photoshop based on real paints of real models of pitts and applied in XSI. The post-work was all done in Photoshop. Let me know what you think about it.
